How did you learn about the AICPA?
I learned about the AICPA through a friend, a former AICPA employee.
How long have you been employed with the AICPA?
I have been employed with the AICPA for 12 years in September.
Why did you decide to come to the AICPA?
I joined the AICPA because I heard that the Uniform CPA Exam was to be converted to a Computerized Based Test (CBT). The senior manager who was leading the CBT project is one the pioneers in CBT, and I was eager to be part of the team. It is a privilege to work on the CPA Exams Team, where the cutting edge of technology and testing is taking place.
Why do you like working at the AICPA?
AICPA offers excellent benefits including pension and flexible work arrangements. I enjoy working at AICPA.
What cool projects have you worked on at the AICPA?
I consider the smooth transition of the paper and pencil test exam to CBT a cool project.
What is your favorite perk/benefit about working at the AICPA?
The CPA Exam is one of the leading licensure examinations in terms of technology used with delivering, scoring and research in CBT. It is an opportunity to be part of one of the leading licensure examinations. I also like the location of the office, which is near my house.
What’s unique about working at the AICPA as compared to other employers?
At the AICPA, there are great leaders who challenge and give us a chance to grow in the psychometrics field.
Name an AICPA membership program or activity you work on and its significance to the profession.
The big projects on the Examinations Team include the enhancement of Complex Content Management System (CCMS v2), which will house the multiple-choice questions and Task Based Simulations (TBS) inventory. This enhances examination quality and addresses candidates’ satisfaction issues, such as the request for faster score reporting. I am working on several projects related to CBT. I consider the Early Score Reporting project a significant benefit to the candidates. Scores are released faster and more frequently, and candidates are very delighted.
